Custom BBCode: YouTube

BBCode allows you to embed YouTube videos into your posts.

1) Navigate to ACP --> Management --> Custom BBCode --> Add New BBCode

2) Fill out the form using these values:
  • BBCode Title: YouTube
  • BBCode Description: Use this to embed a YouTube video
  • BBCode Example: VIDEO ID
  • BBCode Tag: youtube
  • Use Option in tag?: No
  • BBCode Replacement:
    <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/{content}"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/{content}" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>

How to use
To insert a YouTube video in a post you should use this format:
[youtube]VideoID[/youtube]

To get the video ID, copy the value of 'v' in the YouTube URL. For example, if I wanted to embed this video - '''http://youtube.com/watch?v=oc4oP_ITqMc''' I would use this BBCode:
[youtube]oc4oP_ITqMc[/youtube]
